Stocking Up!

Thursday, Dec 4, 2008 @ 10:24 am

I was suprised to see myself as one of the featured bloggers on Sis Mhaye website. That was sweet~
I really appreciate it. Thank You and for the gift:<33

So today I got up LATE this morning around noon.  We had a planned to go by and look at the possible house to rent. We went by the house and it was s c a r y. It looked good in the “picture” on the internet but it was actually on top of the hill and look like it is about to slide down. :woot:   We passed on that and we are still looking. After that we went to the Asian Store because hubby is gonna work (full-time) started on Monday and I have to fend for myself. :sigh:   I am a princess, I cannot cook.LMAO!

So we got some snacks and things that I can munch until he gets home. I`m not sure what I’m gonna do all- day -now- by- myself at least before hubby came in the middle of the day and stay with for an hour while we ate and took. wink   This is going to be a challenge by myself all day long. Well at least I have my filipinofoods to bite and he’ll be home by 5pm. I am glad I’ve found some filipino brand of hotdogs and everything cuz I don’t like American brand, it taste really funny for me :D  Ooh well~ I took some pic for you guys to see. Later everyone!!!

It’s chure it’s cold here now, only 37 degrees.  As soon as I step outside today my nose starts to run. We went down to the Asian Store because the manila grocery hardly has anything in it.   It’s funny we can go to the “mix asian store” and they have some food for each category of Asian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian and Filipino and they have more filipino foods than the Manila Grocery. :sigh:   It’s kinda crazy!! hubby bought some different seasonings like afritada, menudo, etc!!  We also picked up some Salted eggs, Barbeque Chicken, Shumai/dumplings and Lumpiang Shanghai. Sunday is always our filipino food day, hubby tries to make a different dish for me so that I’m not so bored with what I am eating. I’ll to show you guys some pic tomorrow after the cooking. wink

Since it’s so cold we just left the food in the back of the car. :mmm:   Then we went to the Casino, harhar!! This time we went to Ameristar first and then we went to Harrah’s. Ameristar is really my favorite but we left about 8:30 to go to Arby’s and Burger King for some bites. :oof:   I wasn’t ready to go home because it’s too early so I charmed hubby to take me to Harrah’s LOL! We hang out in harrah’s til midnight. We did pretty good there actually and we played for a long time.

Now we’re home rappin at the evening, watching TMZ soon it’ll sleep. Later dudes!!! :<3:

Saga of da Itlog Na Maalat

Tuesday, Aug 12, 2008 @ 10:28 pm

Whatta beautiful day just about 73 degrees. A great time to go out out on an adventure to discover The Best Asian Market in Kansas City. My Sis Jhen had pushed me to the edge of home sickness when she went out to the Asian Market in Modesto and came back with “itlog na maalat”. lol I questioned my hubby about every Asian Market he knew of and told him we couldn’t stop til we found some salty egg. Off we went to South Matcalf to the Asian Store there. We found tocino, philippine style brbq chicken, 2 brands of hotdogs and misc chips. But guess what? No salted eggs :aww:

Next we went Ho’s Oriental Market but we couldn’t get there, they had a detour on the road that too us miles out of the way. :ohoh: We really kinda gave up and started back to home when hubby remembered a New Chinese Market over in what’s called the river market area. :haha: We went there and they had a lot of stuffs, and it was really busy. We look and look in there and finally found the itlog na maalat even in a philippine brand, so I`m so happy.haha!! :woot:   I’ve also got some phone cards but I dont trust they gonna be any good.
