Working Harder Everyday!
All my friends are complaining about having to work so hard to make it now. I understand because I am experiencing the same thing. One of our friends is in the insurance business and he is always working hard to find life insurance leads every day. He has a cycle of work to prospect the leads, then contact them and hopes to setup an appointment if the lead is qualified. He does well but I know he is always working it seems.
Unusual Careers
Since I am now a real adult, well kinda. I need to think of a career beyond just blogging I guess! I love blogging so much though, and I think of it as one of those unusual careers that give you a lot of flexibility. I don’t know what other things I might do that would be so interesting but I’ve been doing some research. One idea would be to become a crime scene clean up expert. I saw a movie about it and it pays well but I don’t think I could clean up other peoples blood. Another good one would be ambassador to a cool country like the U.K but its hard to get that job. One of my friends is studying to become an energy auditor and that sounds interesting. I need to do some research on that. This may all lead to me still being happy with my blogging career but everyone should look at their options. Any idea for cool careers?
Careers in a Down Economy
It may be hard to believe but now may be the best time to work on advancing your position even though the job market is much tighter. Companies who are looking for employees are being much more detailed in finding just the right fit for the position they have open which can make your efforts to improve your career by working on your skill set and education may land you on the right opportunity. My advice is to access what you love to do and then make sure you have the skill set to do it now. Careers move fast so don’t sit around waiting for something in your life to change before you attend that class or do that online training that will further qualify you to get the good jobs!
