Los Angeles Fun
One of my funniest and certainly the craziest vacation was when I went to Los Angeles, CA. I stayed right downtown in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites. It was awesome, the room was pie shaped to give you as much window space as possible. The hotel had an atrium in the center and it has all kinds of restaurants and shops so you can find anything. It had so many banquet rooms and party areas you could easily get lost and the service was excellent. I found and booked the hotel through Trusted Tours & Attractions online travel guides. (Where I always go before I book a vacation!)
We rented a Camaro convertible in the car rental right at the hotel and took a cruise up the strip to Hollywood Blvd and then got out and walked around. The people were such a hoot! There were musicians playing and people made up like celebrities walking around. We went to Mann’s Chinese Theatre and looked at them preparing a Star for Lindsey Lohan!
Then next day we looked for Los Angeles tours and took one to Universal Studio, (before it burned) and had a great time, we saw King Kong and they showed us how they simulate walking in space. I had thought about going to Madame Tussauds wax museum. It was even more fun after getting discount tickets on TrustedTours.com.
It was a great adventure and Trusted Tours & Attractions made it so easy to plan and get good rates. Right now they are having a special promotion where you can win a $150 Magellan’s Gift Certificate by signing up for their newsletter. The newsletter is excellent not a lot of hype but great travel information and deals. I highly recommend that you subscribe and use them for your next vacation. You will love it!
Cool New Wii Game
Order Up! for WII is coming soon. I have been enjoying my WII for sometime now and waiting for more games to come out. Order Up! Looks like a blast. You start out working for a burger joint in your town and they train you the basics of cooking. Then you open your own place and start to learn. You keep growing your restaurant and managing your staff as you go. You build up until you have your own chain. I watched the Order Up! Trailer and it looked so fun. It was fast, intuitive and highly addictive, the game play in Order Up! is fresh, creative and wholly original. I can’t wait!!
john,
Cool Graphic Novel
Remember when you are young and you get a comic book and you read it cover to cover and then go back and read your favorite parts again? There have been a lot of changes since then and the graphic novels is now one of the pop culture entertainment venues the world over. Take C2&Posse, this novel is dedicated to bridging cultural differences and promoting good in the world. The characters are from all cultures, C2 is African American, Spooney-Breeze is Caucasian American, Glow is Asian American and Peppermint-T is a Latin American girl.
They are a team and fight against the evil empire in episodes based around every day challenges for American teenagers. The reality of the streets comes through in the great illustrations of the cityscape C2&Posse dwell in. My favorite character is Glow because he has a sense of humor and loves food just like I do! He can kick… you know what though as he is a martial artist with some real kablam and kapow in his arsenal. I am partial to Peppermint-T as well though because I am a girl too but she is a girl who can kick in for the fight and put the evil bad guys down to the ground. Check this author’s work out it is really entertaining. It’s written by Artoni, (Anthony Fletcher) and you can see his artist touch in the illustrations. Enjoy!
