Wow We Have a Balcony!

We have a balcony now in our new place and you can see forever from here. Well at least a few miles. The problem is what do you do with a balcony to make it look cool and be inviting to go out and enjoy the evening or morning sun? I always like to dress things up so I can feel relaxed and happy. This balcony is kind of narrow and long so I won’t be able to fill the floor up with plants like I normally do but I am thinking that a window box would be nice on the railing. You can plant whatever you want as long as the roots do not need to go too deep. It would be nice even for some garden window boxes because then I could plant some herbs and spices for our cooking.

The real wish I have though is for some color as the condo is pretty drab kinds of an off white. It is really crying out for plants and curtains that are colorful. Maybe if I put window flower boxes on the balcony and some light cotton print curtains on my windows facing it then I will have a nice, bright and cheery décor!
