Renew Your Piano

Thursday, Aug 14, 2008 @ 3:21 pm

Sometimes there is something so beautiful you can only stand back and say, “Oh my!” that is the way I felt when we got to see a Steinway piano in a an old loft type apartment in downtown Kansas City. It was in the building that my hubby’s daughter Heather lives in. We were going out to the elevator when we say through the door the Steinway. We could not help but to go over to it and look! It was wonderful. We asked where they got it. They said it was their grandparents and they had it restored.

We checked out the company who restored and they have a very good site if you are considering restoring your piano. Lindeblad Piano Restoration has been in business for four generations and it shows in the beauty of the work they do. Visit the website and they have a wonderful video that fast streams and will show you step by step their painstaking process to make your piano like new. Check it out!

Saga of da Itlog Na Maalat

Tuesday, Aug 12, 2008 @ 10:28 pm

Whatta beautiful day just about 73 degrees. A great time to go out out on an adventure to discover The Best Asian Market in Kansas City. My Sis Jhen had pushed me to the edge of home sickness when she went out to the Asian Market in Modesto and came back with “itlog na maalat”. lol I questioned my hubby about every Asian Market he knew of and told him we couldn’t stop til we found some salty egg. Off we went to South Matcalf to the Asian Store there. We found tocino, philippine style brbq chicken, 2 brands of hotdogs and misc chips. But guess what? No salted eggs :aww:

Next we went Ho’s Oriental Market but we couldn’t get there, they had a detour on the road that too us miles out of the way. :ohoh: We really kinda gave up and started back to home when hubby remembered a New Chinese Market over in what’s called the river market area. :haha: We went there and they had a lot of stuffs, and it was really busy. We look and look in there and finally found the itlog na maalat even in a philippine brand, so I`m so happy.haha!! :woot:   I’ve also got some phone cards but I dont trust they gonna be any good.
