FiRE! FiRE! RUN!!

Not much happened today but for a big fire in Kansas City. We are at home, my hubby and I watching the local news channel. :ohoh: There was a thunderstorm outside and we could hear lots of thunder and lightening. Suddenly on the news they interrupted the regular broadcast with a bulletin about a fire. It was a huge fuel tank in a refinery just outside the downtown area that had been struck by lightening! You wouldn’t believe how huge the fireball was and the firemen could only put water on things around it. Big bellowing black smoke was floating up in the sky.

My ogag hubby says, You want to go look? I thought he is kidding me so I said yes. He jumps up and says bring your camera! So, I grabbed it and followed him. lol We drove right down to the fire and there were cars parked all along the road across the river from the fire with people out watching it. We stopped and jumped out and I started clicking pics as fast as I could. :rolf: Unfortunately, a police officer came along with his lights on and chased us all back into our cars and made us leave. Breaking up entry.

Today was more adventure than yesterday.
I’m breaking my entries up. For easy reading. Have fun! <3

Carnaval Fun- First we went to the great american barbeque cook off. It is a contest for making barbeque sauce, the winner gets a big price. We didn’t got o compete, we went to eat, LOL! We went to a big tent and they give us a plate of pork that is shreded or as they call it ‘”pulled pork”. :shocked: Then we take a lilbit of each barbeques sauce and taste it with a meat (there was about a hundred sauces) that’s a lot huh!! Of course after we taste we vote for our favorite. I voted for the Blueberry and Rocky mountain sauce. Then we went to get a drink and we had to walk accross a long way it the hot sun. But the time we got to the Lemonade stand, I was feeling sick from too much heat. :frown: Yikes! Imagine the girl from the PI getting too hot in the U.S. Some people they were nice to me and gave me cool wet clothes to put it on my neck, made me feel much better. :ohoh:

Performing- After that we more carefull about being in the sun. Ooh i almost forgot Heather sung karaoke in front of a big crowd. She sungs Black Horse. I was going to sing but they said “No professionals, Amateur only”. bwahahaha!! (feeling pro: XD) Many people came up to her after she was done and told her she sounds really good. I told her you already have fans,IM JEALoUS. :rolf:

Carni Rides- Then we went on a ride in a Simulator. We went on the roller coaster it was really fast and exciting and we also went on racing car. That was fun too but not as good as the roller coaster. By then we were tired of being in the sun, because i’m worried i didn’t put sunblock on,harhar!!

Movie Watching- So we decided to go to the movie at Legends (A fancy new theater in Kansas City). We watched the movie INDiANA JONES. :bah: It was breath taking, I didnt even get sleepy and i watch the whole movie.. munched popcorn and drunk coke. :heartbeat: After that we were so tired, we just came home and ordered pizza. Anywae tomorrow is the last day of holliday. Happy Memorial Day everyone. Remember those who served our country (usa). <3

Idol Mania Cook Triumphs.

It’s finally over. The end of an epic battle David vs David. Of course I predicted the winner accurately. lol Now we have an American Idol from our own town Kansas City. yipppeeyy!! <3 Everyone is so proud of him and he sung so well.

The great thing about this year is that the competition is so strong. :uhm: Many of the artist had good voices, good looks and some even had dance moves. (Syesha, my hubbys fave) haha. :devil:

The show is very entertaining tonight. It felt like such a big event and I guess it was as 96 million votes were cast for one of the davids. The pinoy did themselves proud, the guy Renaldo Lapuz got to come out and do a remake of his “You are my brother,my best friend forever” and was even by the USE marching band. :cool: Its cool and funny!! Ramile was there and pretty as ever, but they didn’t give her a solo moment. :duh: But they gave one to Kristy Lee so thats sucks . I don’t care, Ramiele looks great. Anyway Cook won by 12% of the both. Thats really pretty good margin of victory. wink In fact people here in Kansas City were so confident that Cook will win, they already had a t-shirts with David Cook American Idol Champion on them. lol

This is the year of Kansas City. We won the Orange ball and the Cotton Ball in Football. The NCAA Championship in basketball. And now The American Idol. It’s pretty amazing, Isn’t it? :pirate: Yeah were the best. Ahhuh!! you know it, were the best of the best.wahaha!! You know you wish you are us. peace ya’ll.
