I was outside watching my hubby install outdoor lighting last week when I heard on the news that George Carlin had died. It was a headline news item and I had no idea who he was so I asked my hubby because he thinks he knows everything. First, I noticed his face when I told him and I was surprised as sadness crossed his face like he had lost an old friend. Then he told me he had grown up with George Carlin comedy. He said that he was a pioneer in breaking down the wall on using certain “bad” words in comedy. He turned over the establishment in the 1970’s by blazing trails in comedy similar to the one created by Lenny Bruce. Then I said to my hubby, “Who was Lenny Bruce?” He just sighed and smiled!!
