One More Time!

I should know better than to start thinking about vacation this late in the year but fall is such a great time to go play some golf in the afternoon sun and the long shadows. I am looking for a place to go in my favorite vacation spot Myrtle Beach. I can’t wait to fall into a nice hot tub and work out my sore muscles from a few rounds of golf.

I have been online looking for one of those great Myrtle Beach vacation deals and I think I found a pretty good one. There are so many great golf courses down there and some of them are even thirty-six holes of paradise. I found a place online at http://www.grandeshores.com that looks really promising. I have an agenda of course because I need someplace that the kids are entertained as well.

So, why not go on a quick little trip down south to where the beaches are white and the breezes are cool to enjoy some links? I have never been disappointed in a Myrtle Beach hotel and I know I won’t be this time but has anyone been to this particular resort before? It looks fantastic on their website and I want to be sure this isn’t one of those too good to be true stories!

I need a VACA!

It has been almost three years since we took a vacation and so it is way over due! Our problem is always trying to stuff too many things in our schedule and then we are too busy to take some time to chill out and enjoy life. I have been dreaming of going to one of those resorts in Myrtle Beach and lying on the sand and soaking up the sun. Hubby would love to go there too but he is not a beach bum like me! We have never been but a guy he works with took his whole family there last June.

I’ve been trying to do some planning and estimate some costs and I found a site that has some nice rooms at http://avistaresort.com. It is a very cool high rise hotel in North Myrtle Beach. I love this one link on the site that has a live web cam attached to the roof or something on the beach side of the hotel. It is so inviting it made me want to cry!

This looks like a great place to stay as the rooms are big with a nice living area and views out of two sides. I really like this place. I wonder if any of you have gone to Myrtle Beach and stayed there. I think this place is perfect but a Myrtle Beach hotel is always really cool. So it is easy to get spoiled. The golf courses are everywhere and this time of the year when it is 90 plus degrees in the Midwest it is 82 degrees there with a nice breeze coming off the water! I want to enjoy that for our vacation and forget about all the rest of the world for a while! Sounds sweet?

Summer Trips Coming!

Last summer we made a trip to Montana for my hubby’s Dad’s eightieth birthday. We drove the whole way and took a lot of pictures but everything up there is always far away! We did not think to bring a binocular to bring everything in close when we went to sites like Crazy Horse and Little Bighorn. So you really have to drive more to see all the cool sights up close. So my advise if bring a good pair with you if you make a trip out west because it is freaking huge!
