Dreaming Vacation

I am really loving this vacation except for a lot of driving. We have all ready traveled about 1,000 miles. I liked our last vacation when we went to Branson and stayed in one place. I think Orlando vacations needs to be added to our list so we can go to one spot by airline and stay there with lots of things to do. Next time!

NE: The Frontier

Last Weekends was quite an adventure! It goes with out saying that anything other than being bored in Kansas City is rated as an “adventure” even if it’s attending a memorial for my hubby’s step dad: Now don’t anybody lecture me=P I was very respectful of people who have passed and I took my hubby’s feeling about his step dad really serious. However, If you have nevur been to Nebraska the closest thing I can tell you is the “Bulacan Farm Land” with nicer buildings (Philippines). xD Hubby is trying to build me up by staying in the -h o t e l s- because when I think of a hotel I think of nice things like swimming pools && room service.

We went to up through Nebraska City and then Lincoln out to Aurora to meet my hubby sister. They came down from Alaska and brought hubby’s dad ashes. We met them at the Ken’s Hotel and it is like a hotel from 1950’s OMG! The phones still had rotary dial on them. Oops! Where the swimming pool should be: they had a storage building w/ a tractor in it. (*-^)

We tried to go to dinner but the only place to eat is the Bowling Ally. My crazy hubby ordered Bull Fry which if you don’t know just google it. Ewwww!! (Yuckers) He tried to make us eat one, but no one would eat it but him.har-har! It was really kind of cool because we got to see hubby’s sister after 10 years and her sons who are teenagers now. She and my hubby spend lotsa time visiting. Thank goodness even in that little hotel, they had WIFI..he he! We met all of his step dads family because he had been married 3x in total. Lotsa kids, lotsa grand kids…We even met step dad’s sister~ one who is ready to celebrate being married for 58 yrs WOW, Isn’t that sweet?

On the way back we stopped in Omaha and watch dog racing at the Horshoe Casino. (hubby luvs racing) >_< We even won a little money on the dogs race but the casino there sucks. Then we had the most delicious crab at the Red Lobster. Heather gave us a “crab eating lessons”. Now we could eat every little piece of crab meat. I’ve never enjoyed crab so much. I can’t tell you how to do it b/c it’s family secret..but I can tell that you would be really jealous. (Laughs)

We didn’t get home till really late like 2am and we were glad to be back and sleeping in our own bed. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. Latur chics && chucks!

The Ozarks

Memorial Weekend~ We spent in Branson, Missouri for those who don’t know what Branson is: it’s kind of a country western Las Vegas show in Southern Missouri. They have all sort of cool rides to do and the area is really beautiful, they have a huge lake there, table rock lake and more attractions. We went for ride in an amphibian called The DUWK or Ride The Ducks it’s a military vehicle from WORLD WAR II- t was really cool. We got to go up in the mountains and down into the lake. They would have let me drive in the lake and hubby tried to get me to do it but I’m scared.

We went to a Wild West Show by a famous country singer DOLLY PARTON and had a great meal. A “whole chicken” of my very own that all I can eat is skin, corn on the cob, roast pork, soup and a great big apple turn over even my hubby couldn’t eat it all. He’s a super eater=)

We got to go to Silver Dollar City. Lot’s of things to do there and we tried to do as much as we could. I am tellin you, the craziest one is the WILD FIRE SUPER ROLLER COASTEER. >_<
I thought I was going to die and hubby too=P We Flip Upside Down At least 4x..it’s really wild. I kept wishing I could get off.

We went through a lot of Water Rides and ate some good foods. We couldn’t take much pictures because of all the waters but it was FUN FUN FUN anyway. The biggest problem was the whole time we were there it rains everyday.Grrrr!! It’s FUN really even though the weather was bad. I didn’t get much chance to shop, most of the stuff was “too country” for me. I just got some perfume for me and cologne for my hubby and I’ve picked up some new silver earrings, swimsuit && wallet.
